What do we mean," Patience, Honor, Virtue, Integrity?"

One of the basic tenets of cat whisker collecting is that the cat whiskers may not be taken from a cat, they must be given by the cat.

Sharon Lee, a noted cat whisker expert (out of self-defense), reports numerous instances in the Lee-Miller household of cat whiskers left in strategic places: on top of typewriters and computer keyboards, in the middle of the off-limits-to-cats kitchen table, on the chairs and co-pilot chairs in front of computers, and even occassionally on the royal blue quilt in the master bedroom.

Lee, who states that both bad karma and bad scratches result from the forceful removal of cat whiskers, also admits to the "joy of the chase" when one of her four cats develops a particularly wonderful whisker.
